The Carleton Ravens Baseball Club in collaboration with Carleton’s Jr. Ravens program offers Winter and Summer camps every year.
The Jr. Ravens Baseball Winter Prep Camp
11 weeks, January – March
Indoor class-based instruction in the Carleton Fieldhouse Saturday mornings starting at 8:30am.
The Junior Ravens Baseball program offers specialized lessons in (1) Hitting, (2) Fielding, (3) Pitching and (4) Catchers’ camp for children ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 13 years of age. In addition, we offer an introductory baseball FUNdamentals program for children 7 to 9 years old. Each specialized lesson runs over the course of 11 weeks. Participants can register for back to back lessons (e.g. Hitting & Fielding).
The Jr. Ravens Baseball Summer camp
Weekly sessions in the Summer
Indoor and outdoor full-day camps at Carleton campus and adjacent fields July-August.
The Ravens Summer Baseball Camp takes place at Carleton University’s top class indoor and outdoor fields. Program includes lunch and swim time as well as exposure to other sports. The program is designed for beginner and intermediate players. The goal of the program is to introduce new players to the game of baseball in a positive and safe environment. Players with more experience will be challenged to improve their skill set and expand their knowledge of the game.
Our programs are instructed by our varsity coaches and players and we strive for nor more than a 4:1 player to instructor ratio. Over the years our technical development team has worked diligently to create a progression program for young baseball players so that they can grasp foundational skills. As players progress they are introduced to more advanced training, especially during our specialized Winter prep programs.
