OTTAWA (Jan. 8. 2019) –
As our Carleton baseball coaches and players gear up for the start of the Jr. Ravens winter clinics beginning this Saturday January 12th, the start of 2019 is as good a time as any to reflect on just how involved our players and coaches have been in the Ottawa baseball community.
Indeed, the number of Ravens, current and former, coaching and volunteering in key positions throughout the city is impressive.
“I’m really proud of this level of community engagement” boasts club President George Rigakos. “We all know that our student athletes are getting a great baseball experience but character development is a big part of life. We do everything we can to encourage it but, in the end, we have to acknowledge their simple love of the game.”
It is no overstatement to say that the level of involvement of Ravens has been truly significant for youth baseball in the city.
